Join Borderless Arts TN on June 27 at 10am for an adventure at 307 Marlboro Rd, Hollow Rock TN at Lavender Kisses Farm.
Enjoy a day of a hayride through blooming lavender fields while learning about lavender. We will also be viewing Highland cows and the new highland baby.

This will be a private tour with a painting party at the end as we will be provided canvas and instruction for painting a highland cow.

Sign up today to work with Lauren Emery Rudd on May 7-9 at 10am each day at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) as Borderless Arts Tennessee creates a quilt that will be presented to the US Embassy in Belgium at the end of May. This quilt will honor the US military's involvement at the Battle of the Bulge.

This program is supported by a William N Rollins Arts grant from the Community Foundation of Middle TN, the Memorial Foundation, and Mark and Niki Antonini.

The Borderless Arts B.O.B. (Battle of the Bulge) project has spilled over into MTSU. The MTSU Aerospace department helped us with the airplane nose art project. Lauren Rudd in Human Sciences will help us make the Quilt of Valor. The Veterans and Military Family Center is working with us on a mock USO show for the fall and an exhibit at MTSU. However, my students in Comm Studies have also been actively involved in this project through 17 group projects. Several students helped me in presenting about these projects at the annual MT Engage Spring event and at the EXL Institute.

The Propaganda Posters of WWII played a vital role in raising money, raising troops, and raising spirits. The Teapot Diplomat Visual Arts program of Borderless Arts learned about these posters and made their own versions of the posters under the guidance of Brooke Hammond.

As a special treat, Board member Ann Krafft brought memorabilia of her father who served as a WWII pilot. The group presented Ann with a Challenge Coin for her participation in the project.

Graffiti is sometimes seen as vandalism and sometimes seen as art. In WWII, it also served as signs, communication, and a way to remember.

There was no character more popular in WWII graffiti art than Kilroy. He was everywhere. Borderless Arts TN Teapot Diplomats learned about graffiti art from Brooke Hammond and imagined what they would look like as Kilroy. It was definitely a meeting between B.O.B. and Kilroy.
