Ever wonder what it would be like to spend December 31st somewhere other than Times Square, battling a bunch of tanked tourists for an obstructed glimpse of the midnight ball drop?

Don't settle for another New York City New Year's Eve that doesn't live up to the hype! Party like it's 1959 at our New Year's Eve TWILIGHT ZONE MARATHON: Staged Radio Play and Themed Party.

That's right, folks, in keeping with the SyFy Channel’s annual tradition, we’re returning to the Old Franklin Schoolhouse with our theatrical version of the Twilight Zone marathon, four of our favorite episodes performed LIVE! as radio plays, with food, drink, and live music. Join us in the fifth dimension!

9:30 PM - 12:15 AM (house opens at 9:00), Sat. Dec. 31 @ the Old Franklin School (491 Middlesex Ave. Metuchen).

EPISODES: Nightmare at 20,000 Feet (S5, Ep3), To Serve Man (S3, Ep24, It's a Good Life (S3, Ep8), and The Midnight Sun (S3, Ep10).

FEATURING: Jeff Maschi, Jane Hardy, Laurence Mintz, and Danielle Illario.

WITH: Theatrical lighting, period costumes, Golden Age radio equipment, vintage commercials, fog fx, and, of course, hundreds of sound effects.

COCKTAILS & APPETIZERS: Themed cocktails (Midnight Sun, anyone? an actual drink that originated in the 1800s), beer, wine, tea, coffee, water (lemon infused), cranberry/lime punch (non-alcoholic), and champagne toast. Finger food (don't worry, man is not on the menu) - pigs in blankets, quiche bites, mini tacos (and more). Cookies, fruit, chocolates (and more).

MUSIC: jazz vocalist Danielle Illario sings contemporaneous hits from the late fities and early sixties (incl. a special rendition of Bonnie Beecher's "Come Wander with Me")!

PLUS: Cabaret seating (natch). Door prizes/giveaways and an extensive display of Twilight Zone memorabilia.

SPECIAL GUEST: TZ scholar Tony Albarella returns! Ton will again introduce our program and talk briefly about how Serling reaffirmed the aesthetic importance of horror & science fiction, creating a speculative forum for controversial moral complexities.

Tony is the co-writer of The Twilight Zone Scripts of Earl Hamner and the editor of the definitive TZ collection, a ten-volume limited edition series called As Timeless As Infinity: The Complete Twilight Zone Scripts of Rod Serling. He's written dozens of Serling- and Twilight Zone-related magazine articles, lectured often in Binghamton and Ithaca (two NY towns closely associated with Serling), and is a board member of the Rod Serling Memorial Foundation.

TRIVIA CONTEST: Special trivia contest composed and conducted by Tony Albarella! The winner gets TWO free tickets to next year's marathon!

TICKETS: You open the door with a key to imagination (and a ticket). For advance tickets, click HERE. $50 (thru Dec. 25); $60 (Dec. 26 - Dec 31); $70 (at door if avail). Only nine more days for the Early Bird Discount!

The coolest New Year's even party you'll ever attend.
