Wow! I am so excited to announce Dr Richard Harris has agreed to come away for 2 Fridays in June/July of 2020. Lunch and dinner in the same city/region for each day, 4 events in total.
Dr Harris was one of 14 cave divers and thousands of medical and other volunteers who helped with the rescue of the Wild Boars soccer team (12 boys aged 11 to 16 and their coach) who were found alive nine days after their disappearance in the treacherous Tham Luang cave in the remote northern Thai border town of Mae Sai. The boys spent 17 days in the cave.
The rescue effort involved more than 10,000 people, including over 100 divers, many rescue workers, representatives from about 100 governmental agencies, 900 police officers and 2,000 soldiers, and required ten police helicopters, seven police ambulances, more than 700 diving cylinders, and the pumping of more than a billion litres of water out of the caves.
