Hi guys,
Last week, we wrapped up an awesome little trip to Los Cabos, Mexico, where we celebrated Oksana's birthday and took part in one of Mexico's biggest cultural celebrations - the Day of the Dead parade.
We'd wanted to join a Day of the Dead parade for years now, but had been hesitant to just show up in a random city during the celebration and figure out how to join in the fun. So imagine our excitement when we learned that a beautiful resort, Hacienda del Mar in Los Cabos, offered their guests a front-row seat to the celebration! We jumped on the opportunity and made a trip out of it!
We arrived in Los Cabos a few days before the Day of the Dead and took our time to check out the town. We rented an Airbnb in San Jose de Cabo (the quieter and more cultural of the 2 Cabos) and spent a few days exploring the Old Town, popping into art galleries, and boutique shops, checking out rooftop patios and great local restaurants. The tacos were UNREAL!
After a bit of culture, we checked into Hacienda del Mar just in time for their Day of the Dead parade and celebration. We got the full experience, the makeup, the photo shoot, the parade walk, the special dinner that followed and plenty of cool memories as souvenirs.
