Congregational Meeting

This year's annual meeting elected one new member to Session. Thank you to Rachel Vignon for being willing to serve on our leadership once again! The meeting was full of information and discussion about our church home. We thank everyone who was able to participate, for their time as well as for their thoughtful questions and remarks. We look forward to moving ahead together as a church family, as we work to discern what the future holds for us. If you have any questions or ideas to share, please talk to any member of Session anytime.

Youth Group

No YG this Sunday. Enjoy the long Presidents' Day weekend (and the Daytona 500) at home with your family! Hope to see you next week at our regular Youth Group time!

Last Sunday we spent time in our Black Letters of Jesus curriculum, discussing why sad things happen to all of us. As always, our youth had plenty of insightful thoughts. Then we dove into some high-spirited game play to wrap up our evening.

February 24 - John Muckridge, Rescue Mission President
March 3 - Phil Bartholomew
March 10 - Adam Shank (Communion Sunday)
March 17 - Brad Weber

Scouts at Common Ground

We are pleased that our property will be getting used by special guests this weekend! Colin Snyder and Nathan Shannon's Boy Scout troop will be here, enjoying our woods and grounds, as they take part in a wintertime campout. We pray that the boys and their leaders have a weekend full of fun and safety at Common Ground.

UPCOMING AT CG

Movie Night ~ Rescheduling Needed

We do not want to cancel our evening of family movie fun, but we do need to reschedule. Due to unplanned scheduling conflicts, our "techy" folks who would be running the movie are all unavailable on March 1st. Now we go back to the drawing board for a date. Keep an eye out here for the new date to be announced. Sorry for any inconvenience! A date change does give you more time to sign up on the bulletin board to vote for one of three movie selections.

Outreach Potluck Soup Lunch ~ Sunday, March 10th, 12:15pm

Our soup luncheon to celebrate Adam and his family is coming up on March 10th. You are invited to stay after Worship that Sunday and help us thank the Shank family for all their involvement at Common Ground.
Sign up sheet on bulletin board.

Game Night ~ Saturday, March 16th at 6:00pm

Join in for a fun evening for all ages. Board games and laughter for everyone! Bring a snack to share and come ready for a good time.

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.

Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
