Grant Spotlight
Stacey Knox received a $500 grant from WM Alumni and Friends to help the students at WM High School prepare for College! With these funds, she was able to purchase a printer/scanner/copier, extra ink, a shelf, a bulletin board and various supplies for her students to use.
The goal for Stacey was to create an easy and free place for her college bound dual enrollment students to apply for colleges. Being that many of her students don't have printers or scanners at home, with this equipment, they can now send in paperwork, ACT scores and required transcripts. She even set up her bulletin board to remind them daily of the ACT scores and GPAs they need to qualify for scholarship money at our local universities.
Not only does this space help our college bound students, it is also free place to print on campus for any student's various classroom requirements. They can easily come to her room and grab clips, binders, envelopes, markers, tape, colored paper and other supplies they may not have on hand at a moments notice!
We are thankful for Stacey's vision to help prepare our student's for their next stage in life along with her generosity to provide needs for everyday circumstances.
