Hello, friends.
Had enough of hate-filled gun-toting killers and fear-mongering demagogues? We have, too. Recklessly bigoted candidates, war, poverty and environmental destruction are the real threats. What will change the world and make us all safer is the work we each do, as we step into a community of people around the world, working for justice and peace.

For the first time, we are also offering delicious Homemade Spiced Pecans for holiday shipping. Pat first tasted these nuts years ago at a holiday gathering at Pete & Toshi Seeger’s house and she still uses this friend-of-a-friend's recipe.
We make each batch by hand, just as we make Pat’s Homemade Toffee and here’s what Deb M. had to say about the toffee:

The Rise Again Songbook, Homemade Spiced Pecans and, of course, Pete's Banjo Tee, all have a connection to our beloved and dearly missed friend. (Click on each link to read how). So we're also highlight, here, The Carry It On Fund a new foundation to support "projects and organizations that are carrying forward the work and vision of Pete & Toshi Seeger." Pat is on the board and is initiating a plan to help support the archiving of Pete & Toshi's legacy of papers, books and memorabilia. "The Seegers' children currently hold a large quantity of materials that document the work that Pete & Toshi Seeger carried out for nearly 75 years. The Carry In On Fund is currently working with the Seeger's daughter, Tinya, to develop a plan for supporting the initial archiving of her parents' papers to prepare them for their future home at The Smithsonian Institution." Our songs are US-made and our cds are recorded and manufactured here using Zero Carbon Footprint CD packaging. (Among other sustainable elements, the 100%-Recycled-Bottle-Tray-CDs "keeps 400 liter-sized water bottles out of landfills or incinerators.")
We are a small (but, mighty) business: two touring musicians (doing our own booking, plus wearing many other hats), a new part-time assistant (Welcome, Gretchen!) and a part-time promotions team (Cheryl and Susan). We are committed to sustainable practices including fair wages for employees, using recycled paper, supplies, etc. and driving a hybrid car to reduce our carbon footprint.

-Fundraising for a haven for Iraqi girls fleeing ISIS. While, "ISIS is going door to door, abducting, enslaving and repeatedly raping girls and young women in Iraq . . . CODE PINK [has] joined MADRE and other local partners . . . opening a brand new shelter and rape crisis center for young girls who have escaped sexual slavery."
-And, urging people to contact their Representatives to tell them to cosponsor Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard's bill H.R. 4108. "Gabbard, a twice-deployed combat veteran, said the intent of the bill is to 'bring an immediate end to the illegal, counter-productive war to overthrow the Syrian government of Assad.'"
