A Book in Every Kid's Hands

As a volunteer with Ready Readers, a St. Louis nonprofit dedicated to inspiring preschoolers from low-income communities to love books, Ms. Sally spends 30 minutes each week reading books, playing games and singing songs with preschoolers at God's Creation Development Center in North St. Louis. Six times a year, she leaves a special gift – a classic children’s book – for each child to take home.

On February 21, you too can help get books in the hands of at-risk kids and enjoy an afternoon of face painters, magicians, clowns and family theatre at Ready Readers’ annual Winter Story Fest. READ MORE

An Art Extravaganza

Join Artscope for its 14th annual Wall Ball, an annual live art extravaganza highlighting the creative process of top artists in the St. Louis area. While the featured artists, including Jeff Kapler and Engenia Alexander, create their works live, patrons bid on the works in progress in a unique silent auction format, all while enjoying a dazzling party! All proceeds support Artscope's mission to provide a safe and educational environment for children to explore the arts and to strengthen ties within the St. Louis community.
