Dear ,

Back in 2012, I embarked on a journey that would forever change my life - to design and build my own tiny house.

Back then, not many had heard of tiny houses. When I told others about it, they thought I was crazy - no one can possibly live in a mere 140sf (the size of a parking space). Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the impact that my tiny home would have, born out of a wild and crazy idea, but definitely guided by my heart and soul. I wanted to show others the beauty of simplicity, the magic of aligning one's values with the way one can live their lives. I wanted to live lightly on the planet and be kind to Mother Earth.

Jan. 2019 marks the 6th year of living tiny. Still happy and content, I can't imagine living any other way.

As founder of Sol Haus Design, I would like to thank all of YOU, our cheerleaders, readers and fans throughout the years. You have blown me away with all your love and support.

I would also like to give thanks to HOUZZ, who wrote a feature article on Vina's Tiny House back in the early years. This article and video propelled my tiny home into the stratosphere - the video has been viewed over 6 million times! And we still get positive comments after all these years.

My heart is filled with gratitude. Thank you.

HAPPY 2019 EVERYONE!

Sol Haus Design is privileged to work with a courageous and wonderful family who lost their home in the Thomas Fire, Ken and Dana Hanson. It's never easy to lose everything, but this family has only displayed strength and resilience during this tragedy, and we're honored to take part in their rebuild. The design has an open floor plan with large windows and vaulted ceilings to take advantage of mountain and ocean views.

The outstanding team includes Ryan Cunningham Construction, who has been working diligently since the building permit was issued in October 2018. Ryan's crew is well on schedule to finish construction by summer 2019! We can't wait to show you the large outdoor deck with ocean views!

Creekside Cabin Getaway near Yosemite

One day in the not-so-distant future, I want to create a small tiny home community on a magical piece of property that I recently purchased near Yosemite National Park. I fell in love with the creek running alongside the property and the solitude of nature... I would love to share my little piece of heaven with you!

My lovely little 2br creekside cabin is available for rental with low winter rates ($79). There's so much to do around the surrounding areas, you won't even have to go Yosemite to enjoy nature that surrounds you: creeks, waterfalls, hikes, Bass Lake, and Fresno Dome.

Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area at Badger Pass has fresh snow and the weather looks great for skiing, snowshoeing, tubing and cross-country skiing!

With the resolution of the government shutdown, most areas of Yosemite National Park will reopen with normal hours. HUGE thanks to all the government staff for their commitment to the park over the past month!
