Meet our new General Manager, John Trevenen

We are excited to welcome John Trevenen to Topping Rose House!

About John

In his position, Trevenen will oversee all aspects of the acclaimed hotel’s operations, team development, as well as sales and marketing.

He joins the property with 30 years of strategic leadership experience in five-star hospitality, including opening The Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, CT. As The Mayflower’s Vice President and General Manager, he was responsible for all aspects of property management and played a key role in the design and development of the hotel’s spa.

Saturday, March 19th from 11am - 3pm

Stop by our Barn and Studio to shop for goods, products and wares from local artisans and purveyors. After working up your appetite, stop in for brunch!

Monday- Friday from 3-6 PM

Our newly designed lounge combined with classic melodies from our baby grand will create the perfect setting for a relaxed evening. We offer special prices on selected drinks as well as small bites, which is listed on our bar menu.

In addition, on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5-8PM join us for live music played by the very talented pianists, Rick McDonald and Jane Hastay.

Our private event venues at Topping Rose House provide the ideal setting for your function, whether you are hosting a festive dinner, private ceremony, business meeting or wedding!

The Barn

Adjacent to the House, the Barn is a carefully restored vestige of the original property. Accommodating up to 60 guests for a seated lunch or dinner, and up to 100 guests for a cocktail reception with passed hors d’oeuvres, the Barn’s rustic décor provides an enchanting space for entertaining.

The Studio

Our largest venue at Topping Rose House, the Studio can accommodate up to 60 for a board-room style meeting, 100 for a seated meal, and 150 for a cocktail reception. Overlooking the pool and Topping Rose Orchard, the Studio uniquely combines idyllic scenery with a state of the art facility. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, it is also a perfect venue for meetings and corporate events. Floor to ceiling windows allow for ample natural light to warm a round-table discussion while black-out shades can be drawn to darken the room for a projected presentation at any time of day.

Wine montage Channing and Kontokosta

Local Wine Tasting and Conversation with Edible East End

Friday, March 4th | 6:00pm to 8:00pm

There will be a special wine tasting event along with the winemakers themselves, held at the Parrish Art Museum in Watermill. Guest speakers will give presentations on their creative process of the wines, and attendee's will sample local varieties of wines while interacting with artists who created them prior to conversation, in the cafe.
