A hilarious Trickster story

NEXT WEEK—Savage Society's Little Red Warrior and His Lawyer will take the stage at the York Theatre!

When Little Red Warrior discovers construction crews on his ancestral lands, he flies into a rage, gets arrested, and is assigned a court-appointed lawyer. Hilarity and trickery ensue!

“I wanted to tell a Story about Land Claims from the perspective of snk̓ y̓ép, Coyote, our sacred profane Trickster, as told in the Nlaka’pamux Story Traditions," says director and Governor General’s Award-winning playwright Kevin Loring. "What would Coyote do if his Lands were being threatened?”

This uproarious new show arrives in Vancouver after its sold-out premiere at the Belfry Theatre. Don't miss your chance to see it starting next week!

White Noise will take the stage from April 16 to May 1 at the Firehall Theatre. Written by the late Taran Kootenhayoo, White Noise is a comedy about two families who have dinner together for the first time during Truth and Reconciliation Week. It explores what it means to live in Canada from two different paradigms and asks us to consider: How do we deal with internalized racism? Do we keep pushing it away and pretend to live safely in our day-to-day? White Noise is produced by the Firehall Arts Centre and Savage Society.

Zee Zee

Zee Zee Theatre presents Men Express Their Feelings - March 18 to April 3, 2022 at Firehall Arts Centre (280 E Cordova St).

Set in the locker room of a community hockey rink, two teen hockey players and their dads are forced by the minor hockey league chair to work through their feelings following a heated scuffle between the dads in the parking lot. Written by one of Canada's most celebrated trans playwrights, Sunny Drake, and directed by Zee Zee Theatre’s Artistic and Executive Director Cameron Mackenzie, the poignant and provocative comedy challenges stereotypical assumptions about masculinity, gender norms, sexuality and identity.
