In this next session in our Abundance series Carol and I will help the group heal and rebirth our "inner child". In infancy and early childhood, we are closer to our true natural selves than at any other time in our lives. The older we get, the more conditioning we take on, much of which is contrary to the most natural and healthy expression of ourselves. The precious child like qualities that we tend to lose in the process of growing up are innocence, spontaneity, playfulness, creativity, unbridled curiosity, sensitivity and subtle sensory and communication capacities (telepathy, ability to see spirits, angels and guides, precognition, psychic abilities, etc). When these qualities and capacities are recovered they can support abundant fulfillment in all aspects of our lives. In this session, we'll help the group clear inner child trauma, abuse, criticism, emotional manipulation, pressure to conform to unnatural standards, abandonment, and lack of recognition and support for our true natural talents, insights and abilities. Group VortexHealing® Session Registration Instructions
In order to register, you must email me at geordie@deerspiritreiki.com stating that you're coming in person or that you want to be put on the distant list. For distant participation, give me your full name as you want it written on the distant list. If you're putting pets on the list tell me their name and if they're a dog, cat or whatever. Then you can Paypal me your $20 by going to the contact page of my website and clicking on the "Buy Now" button. This will take you to my PayPal page. You can also access the PayPal page by clicking the PayPal button at the bottom of this section. If you don't have a PayPal account, click on "Don't have a PayPal account?" on the lower right and fill in the fields with your credit or debit card info. Participants are encouraged to make a written or mental list of their intentions for the session. What do you want to heal, let go of, bring in or enhance in your life (your intentions don't have to be directly related to the theme). We don't have to know what your intentions are, we simply channel with the intent to address whatever you want and need. If you don't have specific goals for the session, just ask for "whatever is best for me".
About the Inner Child and Purity of Heart
First off, I would like to give credit to Maya Nadeem, a group healing participant from Toronto and also a Vortex Healing Practitioner and a wonderful artist for coming up with the theme “Abundance and the Inner Child.” She suggested the theme to me in an e-mail and Geordie and I both thought it was a great idea, so thank you very much Maya!
After Maya gave us the idea I started thinking and reading about the Inner Child. From my work as a therapist I realized that the Inner Child had more than one manifestation or presentation in the system. Caroline Myss in her book “Sacred Contracts” which is about the archetypes with which we identify, has a lot to say about the various facets of the Inner Child. She states that the major Inner Child archetypes are:
-The Orphan or the Abandoned Child
-The Wounded Child
The Magical/Innocent Child
-The Divine Child
-The Nature Child
-The Puer/Puella Eternis or the Eternal boy/girl –This is the child that does not grow up like Peter Pan.
I am also aware of three others from study of a type of psychotherapy that was popular in the sixties and seventies but not so well known now. It was called Transactional Analysis (or TA for short.) From TA I got the concept of:
-The Natural Child which is the child aspect that is there from birth and early childhood before the conditioning of this incarnation gets the upper hand.
-The Adapted Child which is the name for the changes and distortions that happen to the natural child in response to its caretaking environment.
-The Little Professor which is the name for an aspect of a pre-adolescent child that can function as a know –it –all or have precocious ability in a certain field.
So, when we think about abundance and the Inner Child, we are most likely thinking about manifestations of the Inner Child that feel a lack or an emptiness. The Orphan or the Wounded Child are the most likely candidates.
Caroline Myss states in the appendix of her book:
“The (Orphan) pattern….is reflected in the lives of people who feel from birth as if they are not a part of the family, including the family psyche or tribal spirit.”
Thus, not all people with a strong Orphan archetype in the psyche are literally orphans. They can be psychological and energetic orphans who still have parents.
Caroline Myss goes on to say:
“The absence of family influences….inspires or compels the Orphan Child to construct an inner reality based on personal judgment and experience. Orphans who succeed at finding a path of survival on their own are celebrated in fairy tales and folk stories as having won a battle with a dark force, which symbolically represents the fear of surviving alone in this world. ….The shadow aspect manifests when orphans never recover from growing up outside the family circle. Feelings of abandonment and the scar tissue from family rejection stifle maturation, often causing them to seek surrogate family structures in order to experience tribal union.”
Many books for young readers showcase an orphan as the main character. A recent famous example being the Harry Potter books, but there are many others such as the Anne of Green Gables series, The Secret Garden, Pollyanna and many more.
The Wounded Child Archetype, according to Myss, “holds the memories of the abuse, neglect, and other traumas that we have endured during childhood.” This archetype can result in a deep energetic imprint of the victim pattern throughout the psyche.
Both the Orphan, and the Wounded Child archetypes resonate with a certain inner poverty or lack which would not be conducive to manifesting abundance.
Purity of Heart
Purity of Heart is also associated with the Inner Child. The archetypes of the Inner child that show up in this case are the Magical/Innocent child and the Divine Child as well as the Natural Child of TA which includes these two.
A few years ago when I was taking a Vortex Healing® class in London with Anthony Gorman he said that one of the characteristics of people who continue to higher levels of training in Vortex was a certain quality of innocence.
Innocence is one of the main qualities of those who possess Purity of Heart. I’ve been thinking of how to describe this because it is not that easy to pin point, however, we all feel it when we are in the presence of someone with purity of heart. There is a singular innocence tinged with wisdom, not a silly gullible innocence but a simplicity of spirit that shines forth. This simplicity also has a certain flavor, a flavor of kindness, mildness, modesty, compassion and generosity. These qualities also seem to be deeply wired in the person as though they are part of their original makeup and not something learned or aspired to.
When I think of examples of those who have Purity of Heart I think of Saint Francis of Assisi, Gandhi, and the modern Saints Thérèsa of Lisieux (called The Little Flower) and Padre Pío. Saints tend to have this quality, but there are examples of more ordinary humans who have it as well, but the saints are the ones who come to mind.
When we consider the Inner Child parts of the psyche, we often notice that in most adults the child parts are not in the forefront of the personality. They are further back and covered by other parts with adult capacities that function as protectors. This arrangement helps adults survive and get on with life, while their vulnerable child parts do not come into direct contact with the harshness of the outside world. When we are in the presence of someone with Purity of Heart, though, there can be the sense that their Inner Child parts are in the forefront of the personality or, if not quite the forefront, then at least not well buried. There is a transparency to the psyche that lets the Child archetype show through.
The Child archetypes that show through are a mixture of Magical/ Innocent child and Divine child.
Caroline Myss says:
“The Magical Child represents the part of us that is both enchanted and enchanting to others. It sees the potential for sacred beauty in all things, exemplified by Tiny Tim in Dickens’s A Christmas Carol…”
Examples of the Magical/Innocent Child
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Alice from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Harry Potter.
She goes on to describe the Divine Child this way:
“The Divine Child is closely related to both the Innocent and the Magical Child, but is distinguished from them both by its redemptive mission…..The Divine Child is associated with innocence, purity, and redemption, god-like qualities that suggest that the Child enjoys a special union with the Divine itself.”
Examples of the Divine Child are the child Jesus, the child Krishna, Siddhartha Gautama who became the Buddha and Horus of Egyptian Myth, son of Isis and Osiris. A case could also be made for putting Harry Potter in this category as well for he was portrayed as “the Chosen One” in the book series.
When it comes to manifesting abundance, the quality of Purity of Heart works as a cleaner, more transparent and much simpler filter through which to project any intention. The quality of Purity of Heart has a centralizing and unifying dynamic on the movement of a desire as it works in the psyche.
Those with Purity of Heart orient to life heart first followed by the head rather than the other way around. Heart led intentions have more power than thought led ones.
So, let us look at the proper order of things. In our first group healing on December 1st, we intend to send healing and love and the sense of abundance into the deep imprinting of loss, emptiness, abandonment, hurt and victimhood of the Orphan and Wounded Inner Child parts of us. When these inner children do not feel preoccupied with their emptiness and wounds then they are free to reach into the Magical and Innocent aspects of the Inner Child archetype.
When we first come into this world we come in with a sense of innocence and trust in the Divine as it manifested from the nurture we received “magically” through our Mother’s womb. We did not have to struggle or change our core nature to receive this naturally occurring support and love. Once born, we hold onto this state of magical innocence for a little while until we start to adapt to the vicissitudes of our care-taking environment. These adaptations layer over the freshness of the Natural Child and make its qualities harder to reach. But, this Innocent Child is still there and with it the potential to contact the capacity for Purity of Heart. We do not have to be a saint to have this capacity inside. Saints are just the ones who bring it to the surface. We will try to nudge it forward in our second group healing on Friday December 16th.
About the Session
In these sessions Carol Ribner and Geordie Numata will be using Merlin’s Grace level Vortex Healing® Divine Energy Healing, Geordie’s Angelic Liquid Light Healing©, and a Divine Consciousness Tool that comes through for Carol. We will also be invoking the assistance of the Archangels and other groups of angels.
What You Can Expect From a Session
The energetic and consciousness healing modalities we are using have their own wisdom and they affect each participant in a unique and individual way. The energies always work for the highest benefit of each person. Participants often report feeling relaxed, nurtured and/or energized. Some people drift off into a pleasant altered state and don’t remember much. If this happens the healing energies are still working with you. Other people have physical sensations or inner experiences such as inner visualizations or feelings of energy flow. Sometimes people experience memories regarding a certain issue or insights to do with it. The energy of the session may continue to work after the session for several days or even weeks. The weeks. The way an issue is manifesting in your life may shift, clear or change so it is good to be open and notice anything coming up or settling down.
