Youth Group

For youth in 5th grade & up

No YG February 2 or 9. We will meet again on February 16.

Last Sunday we enjoyed having a new friend visit! We took
some time to look up encouraging Bible passages then played some
board games and one round of The Game. Audrey defeated us all
again with her hiding ability. It was definitely an evening of fun!

Please check out the snack sign up sheet on the bulletin board!

YG parents, watch for texts and/or emails to alert you if we cancel or change our schedule.

We will be working on a special project for the bunnies at the Frisky Ferrets, Fuzzies, & Feathered Friends Rescue & Sanctuary. Toilet paper/paper towel tubes are needed for this project, as soon as possible. We're also in need of small, clean socks and craft stuffing (poly-fil) for another upcoming project. If you can donate these, or any other craft-type supplies you want to clear out of your collection, it would be much appreciated! Thank you!

NEWS & EVENTS

Last Friday we headed out to Salem to do some shelf shopping and look who we found! Miss Andrea Andrusewicz, wearing the orange apron, was a highlight of our day. And, now we have some spiffy new shelves in the front greenhouse to help us be more organized.

Monday was our day to volunteer at Whispering Pines. We decorated for Valentine's Day and exercised with the residents. Then we made another trip to Salem, this time to WalMart to do our monthly shopping for our cooking projects. This week's cooking project, in progress below, was homemade meatloaf, creamed corn made from Rachel's home-frozen fresh corn, and a garden salad. We are so lucky to have such talented chefs on our crew! The rest of the week was filled up with various organizing and cleaning projects, some puzzles, time with our friends Morgan and Tucker, and more. Feel free to drop in and see what we are up to and lend a hand. We love visitors and volunteers!

Donations for the 3C's

Donate through February 2 to raise money for our local, North Lima food bank - the 3C's. We have a donation jug all ready for you at the front desk. Our youth will also be manning our trusty soup pots on the day of the big game to collect donations!

According to a Feeding America study, 16% of residents of the Mahoning Valley struggle with hunger. Learn more here:

~~~~~~~
For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.
.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
