CG NEWS & EVENTS

Open Those Bibles

Trying something slightly different this week. Bill has prepared a special PowerPoint presentation to help deliver his message. We will not have our typical slides containing the Bible verses. As he says, his "slide presentation will contain some of the verses examined, but assumes an open Bible as well." So, we invite you to bring your favorite Bible from home or grab one off the tables in the Sanctuary as we dig into the Good Book together.

Bible Studies

Sunday Morning Class: 9:30am
Meeting in the pastor's office.
Study of Psalms

Wednesday Morning Ladies Study: 9:30am

You are welcome to join in studies at any time!

Last Sunday we had a Bible Treasure Hunt, diving into the Word to look for answers to various clues. Then we spent the rest of the evening on some team building through a variety of games. You may think our youth are a pretty reserved, quiet bunch, but it was definitely not quiet here Sunday evening!

NEWS & EVENTS

Volunteering at Whispering Pines was our first task this week. We decorated for St. Patrick's Day and then joined the residents for some balloon basketball. After that we headed to Sparkle to obtain the final ingredients for our Tuesday feast of Mexican pizza, veggies with homemade ranch dip, and chocolate pudding cake. This was a labor-intensive meal but it was absolutely worth it and another delicious hit!

The Transition class has jumped right back into working here. This week we worked together to plant a bunch of flower seeds as we prep for this growing season. The students and our clients also worked to once again disinfect the Sprout Room and Nursery. They are working hard to keep the kids who come to CGCC safe and healthy!

The nice, spring-like weather this week had us outside for long stretches. We worked out front, cleaning up around the flowerbeds as well as out back behind the greenhouses, cleaning out the ditch. We also enjoyed walking around the property while thinking warm weather thoughts! When not outside this week, we also focused on cleaning and carefully wiping down high use areas and items. Our folks are on the alert to help us eliminate germs.

~~~~~~~
For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.
.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
What can YOU do?
