Grand Re-Opening at Winston-Salem SportsPlex

Mark your calendar for the Grand Re-Opening of the Winston-Salem SportsPlex on Friday, August 5 and on Saturday, August 6! The Open House Event is for all ages and sports and will include food truck, bubble soccer, and giveaways as well as free demos for Lacrosse, Soccer, Athletic Republic, Flag Football and more! They spent the summer renovating and adding awesome new features to their facility so play never stops! Join in the Free SoccerTots class at 4pm and 5pm. Kick Off To Kindergarten and Bike Safety Day

On August 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., there are two special back-to-school events at the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem.

Kickoff To Kindergarten
Rising Kindergartners receive FREE Museum admission. Climb aboard a school bus, experience a pretend lunch line featuring healthy snacks courtesy of Food Lion, visit the Forsyth County Library Book Mobile, enjoy a storytime with Angel Bear Yoga (11 a.m.), create a special craft, and more!

Bike Safety Day
This free event held outdoors will educate about the importance of bicycle safety and wearing a properly fitted helmet. Bring your bike and helmet to the outdoor bicycle rodeo with the Winston-Salem Police Department Downtown Bike Patrol Unit and learn about safety gear and audio-visual awareness.
