(In)Decision on #Turning13

Q: What advice would the main character of your show give to their 13 year old self?
A: You seem to be having a lot of irrational emotions right now. Maybe try...to not? Logic has so much more power than emotions or hormones!! Make some lists!.
Q: Give us a fun fact about your show, your company, or your team.
A: 1. The concept for the show was born from Kyle and Tamlynn’s inability to decide on a show concept.
2. When creating, we asked friends for awful things that have been said in relationships, and received an overwhelming number of messages. Stay tuned for sad and hilarious truths when Tess talks about her exes.

What Happen in the Back Room on #Turning13

Q: What advice would the main character of your show give to their 13 year old self?
A: Follow your gut, stand on your own two feet, and don’t just speak your truth – shout it from the rooftops.
Q: Give us two fun facts about your show, your company, or your team.
1.Mooncalf Theatre won “Best of Galleries” for The Rabbit Done Died at last year’s Fringe and we can’t wait to be back with a new piece, What Happens in the Backroom.
2. Performer Adam Lemieux is so dedicated, he recently performed outside in minus 30 degree weather for a Mooncalf Theatre show earlier this year. Don’t worry - What Happens in the Backroom will be a much warmer event!

The Ties That Bind on #Turning13

Q: What advice would the main character of your show give to their 13 year old self?
A: Nothing lasts forever, this is just the beginning and life gets so much better...eventually. Or does it just get different?
Q: Give us two fun facts about your show, your company, or your team.
1. The Ties That Bind was first produced by Our Souls in November 2015 at Theatre Passe Muraille Backspace in Toronto.
2. We are all theatre professionals and are stranger than we look!

Faith on #Turning13

Q: What advice would the main character of your show give to their 13 year old self?
A: Emo is a lifestyle, not a look. Call your Dad.
Q: Give us two fun facts about your show, your company, or your team.
1. We all met while attending the Theatre and Drama Studies program at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College.
2. Our company works collaboratively, each member of a production's voice counts the same when we are making decisions. Sometimes lighting designers have great insight into scene work, sometimes an actor knows just what sound cue is best.

But Don't Worry, We've Got You Covered!

Due to unfortunate events, two shows had to drop out of our festival this year- SEARCHING FOR PARTY and ICHABOD will not be presenting shows.

But we found an amazing local company to replace Searching For Party's spot!

Windmills Theatre presents staged readings of Final Broadcast- Strangers stuck together after a massive earthquake strikes the region...at least the Wi-Fi's free.

Final Broadcast is a last-minute (6 days before opening!) addition to the 2016 Hamilton Fringe Festival, and will be a staged reading of a new script in development. Audiences will be invited to ask questions and give feedback following each performance. Please support this very brave company!!! Click on the button for show times and ticket info.
