Dear Fellow Canadians,

Last night, the Honourable Bill Morneau shocked the nation by announcing his resignation as the Federal Finance Minister.

One commentator described the announcement as a "bombshell" and that this is like losing the engine of a car while it is going full speed on the highway.

This morning, the Prime Minister announced that he would be "resetting" the government through a process called a prorogue and that Deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland will be shuffled into the finance minister job.

Please take a moment to cover our nation in prayer today. Our leaders need wisdom and our nation needs prayer at this time of shaking and massive transition.

To ensure your ballot arrives in time to be counted by the Aug. 21st deadline, we strongly suggest that you either drop it off at a candidate's drop-off location or express post it asap.

In the last leadership election for the CPC, thousands of ballots did not get counted because they arrived late. Don't let that happen to yours.

IMPORTANT TIP: Please also reach out to those around you to ensure they have gotten their ballots in as well.
