Calling it "a sleeper of the vintage," Robert Parker gave the 2012 Vitesse 91 points in the December issue of The Wine Advocate!
Considered by many the most influential wine critic in the world today, Parker pointed out the "Bordeaux-like acidity" of Vitesse, as well as its "beautiful, pure, red, blue and black fruits, a touch of earth and sweet tannin." He called it "well-made" and suggests it "should drink nicely for 10-15 years."
We also just learned that the 2012 Vitesse was awarded a silver medal for the $63. and up category at the 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Over 7,162 entries this year — the highest number of wine entries to date – were judged by an independent panel of 65 wine experts from around the world.
