Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray you are all doing fantastic, and if you aren’t, I will be praying that your fantastic is right around the corner. We sang a song on Sunday - Leaning on The Everlasting Arms - and one of the lines is, 'What have I to dread, what have I to fear, leaning on the everlasting arms? I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, leaning on the everlasting arms.' It just now hit me while I was typing this out. With my Lord so near." "Wow – that goes right into my Word for the week. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for your confirmation on the Word every week. It is “room.” Are we making “room” for God to work in our lives? Are we making “room” for the Holy Spirit to rule and reign in our hearts? If we are leaning on the everlasting arms – we must be right up against them, aren’t we? We certainly cannot lean from a distance; we would topple over. Boy, I certainly have toppled over trying to do it on my own in the past. We (I) tend to make “room” for everything else but when it comes down to dedicated time in prayer or in the Word, I fall short. We need to make “room” for God first and foremost – then all the other stuff may need to wait its turn. Sometimes I get so busy doing other stuff all my day is used up on the other stuff. I fall short of spending precious time with the Holy Spirit. We need to declutter all the stuff, so the “room” made for God takes priority all the time. No exceptions. Starting now I am going to work on making “room” for my Savior first and foremost – no matter what. Would love for you to join me. He has so much to show us! Have a fantastic week of decluttering!" Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. ~ Revelation 3:20 (NKJV) ~~~ | Welcome Home to Heroes & Halos | H&H is a non-profit organization that provides awareness, education, and outreach programs to the public regarding individuals with special needs and disabilities. All of us here at CGCC and CLC have been blessed by the opportunity to share space since last year. They have been storing their supplies in our warehouse, we were thrilled to have an angel tree set up in the Great Room last year for Christmas and to be a drop off point for the community, and the church/warehouse was used for their Christmas event. Now H&H has moved into the building, using the Green Room upstairs for their office and storage area, while still having some items waiting in the warehouse for this year's Christmas giveaway. Heroes and Halos family - we are glad to have you here! It may seem early but now is the time to start thinking about how to help folks this Christmas. H&H is already getting started. Please read below to see how you can help with their new "Item of the Month" program: "With the price of groceries rising weekly, Heroes and Halos are looking to provide all our families a food box this year. That is approximately 150 food boxes. Each box costs about $55, without the meat. To make this happen, we know we need to start early, and have help! We thought we would try an item a month for September, October, November, and December. September’s Item of the Month is 32oz. pancake mix. Each box helps a family in need!" If you would like to donate toward this project, we will have a collection area set up near the front door in the Great Room. | September Worship ~ Online & In-Person Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11:00am We're excited to welcome you to Worship, in church and online! ~~~ | Dates To Add To Your Calendar Coat & Clothing (& More!)
