A Note From Mrs. Richardson

Wow! What a welcome Brandon and I have received from the Cottage Hill Christian Academy community. The last two weeks of transitioning to a new school have been exciting. I have already met several of our wonderful students and families and I am thankful for the opportunities ahead as I continue to meet you all.

On the West Campus, we are already busy preparing for the 2017-2018 school year. We are working on finalizing student schedules, ordering teaching materials and instructional resources, setting up all of the housekeeping that takes place in schools during the break, and preparing for the opening of school.

Students on the West Campus have demonstrated their excitement for the 2017-2018 school year as well. So far this summer I have seen Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Soccer, Cheer, and the Flag Corp diligently preparing for the new year. This week, the Student Government Association is helping out by cleaning out lockers. The SGA is preparing for the new year by committing to a few service projects and making plans to share their love of CHCA with our many new students.

Again, I want to thank you all for the warm welcome! I am so excited to see what AWESOME things are in store for the 2017-2018 academic year!

Welcome Sarah Olsen

Cottage Hill Christian Academy is proud to announce the hiring of veteran teacher Sarah Olsen as a middle school mathematics teacher.
Mrs. Olsen joins us with thirteen years of experience teaching middle school students, during which she has taught in North Carolina, Guatemala, and most recently for the past four years at North Mobile Christian School in Saraland, Alabama. She and her husband, Bob, have been married for twenty-one years and have four children ( Anna – 9th, Peter – 7th, Elizabeth – 4th, Eleanor – 4th) who will be attending CHCA in the fall. Mrs. Olsen has a deep love of teaching middle school students math and is looking forward to joining our Warrior family. The addition of Mrs. Olsen will allow for smaller middle school math classes as we continue to provide a high quality education experience for our students. Please help us welcome Sarah Olsen and the Olsen family to Warrior Nation!

Tuition Information

Tuition payments for the 2017-2018 school year begins July 1. Tuition payments are due on the first day of each month. A $50.00 late fee is charged if tuition is not received by 12 noon on the 10th of the month. Tuition payment options are as follows:
Option 1: One annual payment due July 1.
Option 2: Semi-annual payments due July 1st and Jan. 6th.
Option 3: Eleven monthly payments due the 1st of each month (July-May)

Summer Camp Opportunities

Jr. Warrior Football Camp

When: June 26th-27th
Time: 12:00-3:00
Where: Cottage Hill Christian Academy -West Campus
Ages: Rising K5 – 6th Graders
Cost: $30 single day or $50 for both days

Camp fee includes instruction and a snack & drink. Campers will need to wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes or cleats. Please make checks payable to CHCA. If you have any questions, email Coach Peebles at peeblesd@chbss.org.

Worship Camp “Count On You”

Worship Camp 2017 is coming to Cottage Hill Baptist Church. Join us at CHBC for an exciting week of games, creative movement, worship songs, art and so much more!
When: July 10-14 with a performance Friday night, June 14th.
Time: 8:45-12:00 each day
Where: Cottage Hill Baptist Church Kids Worship
Who: For COMPLETED K5 – 5th grade
Cost: is $25 per child

Boys and Girls Basketball Camp

Fundamental Development at its Best!

Camp Dates: July 10-13 (12:30-3:00PM)
Who: Students entering 3rd – 8th Grades
(Campers do not have to be CHCA students)

▪ The camp will be held at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in our Recreation Outreach Center (ROC) gymnasium.
▪ Each day will begin promptly at 12:30 pm and conclude at 3:00 pm.
▪ Campers will be instructed on the basics of good ball handling and dribbling, effective shooting form, basic basketball footwork and team concepts of basketball by the boys and girls coaching staff of Cottage Hill Christian Academy.
▪ Campers should be dressed in athletic shorts and t-shirt with basketball/athletic non-marking shoes. Snacks and water will be provided.
▪ The camp will be held at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in our Recreation Outreach Center (ROC) gymnasium.
▪ Each day will begin promptly at 12:30 pm and conclude at 3:00 pm.

Jr. Warrior Cheer Camp

CHCA will hold Cheer Camp for rising K5-5th grade girls July 18th-20th at the CHCA West Campus from 9:00a.m.-12:00 noon. The camp fee is $50 per child.

Campers will learn cheers, chants, jumps, and dances.
Campers should be dressed in comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Snacks and water will be provided.
Campers do not have to be CHCA students. CHCA students are encouraged to bring a friend.

Back to School Family Orientation

CHCA Family Orientation for ALL students and their families is scheduled for Thursday, August 3rd at 6:00 p.m. This family orientation is for K2-12th grade and will be held in the Worship Center of Cottage Hill Baptist Church.
