Sol Haus Design is thrilled to announce one of our favorite projects, the Summer Street Residence, is featured on Houzz.com. Many years in the making, we're really proud of this project. It has a village-like setting consisting of individual cottages from the 1920's. Each structure was lovingly and painstakingly restored to its original splendor. The foundation and original framing were rebuilt and engineered for current code standards - a miraculous feat in itself! Three years in the making, we're excited to share it with you!

NEW TINY HOUSE BUILD! After the first Tiny House Prefab was built (check it out HERE), many clients have asked for the same design for their property as an ADU (accessory dwelling unit). Unlike the Tiny House Prefab, this project is built onsite on a foundation like a traditional build (not in the factory like the Tiny House Prefab).

After a lot of research, I found a local contractor who was able to give a competitive price for this Tiny Home at $150K (including the large deck). This is a better price compared to the Tiny House Prefab at $200K (without the deck).

It has been a dream to work on this project with my client. As an ADU, this will help increase the housing stock in Ojai, where affordable housing is desperately needed. This will also provide additional income for my client. Win-win all around!
