We volunteered at Whispering Pines, shopped for Tuesday lunch projects, and had plenty of time to get work done here in the afternoon. Tuesday's lunch was homemade pizza, one with chicken and broccoli and one with tomatoes, onions, and basil. These masterpieces were served with a salad of mixed greens, carrots, and red peppers. Colorful and delicious! We kept Leetonia and Mohawk busy this week with various projects, including working in the warehouse and filling up the new flower bed behind the Sanctuary with soil and compost. We are so excited about this planting area! Next Thursday, our Transition friends will be getting back into the fall routine with us. | After a slow start, we are having a fantastic butterfly year and had another butterfly release this week. Our crew has really enjoyed finding and caring for different types of caterpillars and then releasing the butterflies. It is certainly fun for all ages! Today is CSA day. Only four more weeks after this. We thank Jen Shannon and her dad, Fred Carrier, for donating tomatoes again.
