September 28th, 2017

Dear Justice Wall Participants,

The month of September marks the beginning of a new season; Summer vacations have come to an end, Parliamentarians are back to work, students have returned to a new school year, and the change in seasons has become evident all around us.

We believe that as it is in the natural, so it is in the spirit. We are hopefully anticipating breakthroughs in the areas of human trafficking, abortion and more as the Church continues to pray specifically into these areas.

Thank you for your continued intercession for the ending of these injustices in partnership with the Justice Wall. Your prayers matter and we are and will continue to see much fruit and many lives saved.

God bless you!

Important Updates:

40 Days for Life // Prayer & Fasting:

This week marks the start of the internationally-coordinated campaign happening Sept. 27 - Nov. 5th called “40 Days for Life”. The initiative includes 40 days of prayer & fasting for the ending of abortion, peaceful vigil, & community outreach.

We invite our Justice Wall intercessors to join in this time of prayer, fasting, and witnessing in support of life in the womb. You can participate by committing at least 1 hour of prayer and fasting in front of a participating abortion facility in your region or from your home.

Campaign locations have been set up in a number of Canadian cities as well as 375 cities in the U.S. Click here to search for a Canadian location and here to find a U.S. location.

Ride for Refuge Fundraiser

On Sept. 30th in cities across Canada and the U.S. there will be a fundraising event called Ride for Refuge in support of organizations aimed at fighting human trafficking. Included is one of our favourites, the Joy Smith Foundation.

Please pray that this event would be an all around success in terms of production, participant safety, and fundraising, and especially that human & sex trafficking victims would be set free as a direct result. Let's pray that the money raised would lead to new programs used to bring victims of trafficking to freedom and complete restoration.

We invite all of you to participate in an event chapter taking place in your area. Also, we have registered a team in honour of the Justice Wall and we would love for you to join it! Please click here to walk/fundraise to fight human trafficking with us.

Victory for Canadian Pro-Life Hero // Mary Wagner

After serving a total of more than 5 years in jail for her pro-life witness, Mary Wagner was found guilty of breach of probation for entering an abortion clinic in attempt to once again dissuade pregnant women from aborting their unborn babies. Mary was facing an additional 18 months in prison following her latest arrest on December 6th, 2016.

However, Mary found favour with the court judge who agreed to allow her to submit character references on her behalf. The pro-life community within Canada and around the world responded and submitted an astounding number of letters, emails and petition signatures.

Thankfully, on Sept. 12th, the judge sentenced Mary to 30 months of probation and 50 hours community service, but NO MORE jail time!

David Daleiden

Ongoing Battle for David Daleiden

The battle continues for David Daleiden, one of the investigators behind the exposing of Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts. Most recently, Daleiden was fined nearly $200,000 this month for his defiance of a gag order placed on the release of further videos.

We need to continue our support of David Dalieden and his fellow investigator Sandra Merritt in prayer as they fight at the forefront of the battle for life, freedom and truth in the U.S.

Please pray for favour in the courts and media. While those against them attempt to use these heroes to teach a lesson, let’s pray that they would instead inspire others to fight all the more for the protection of the pre-born.

Let’s also pray that other reports would come to light and that those at the forefront of the abortion industry would have radical transformations of heart and mind, joining David Dalieden and Sandra Merritt in bringing to light the horrible truths about abortion.

NEW REPORT: 40 million slaves worldwide

A shocking report released this month by the U.N.’s International Labor Organization and the Walk Free Foundation has revealed that more than 40 million people were estimated to be victims of modern slavery last year. One in four of these were children. The report is said to give the most reliable slavery figures to date and accounts for 16 million victims of forced labour, 4.8 million victims of forced sexual exploitation, and 15.4 million women living in forced marriage.

Please continue to pray that victims would be set free and fully restored in every way. Please pray that perpetrators and purchasers would be caught and radically transformed. Let’s pray for law enforcement and government to set their minds towards combatting this injustice with the full force of their resources and efforts. buffer laws

Proposed Ontario Law to Ban Peaceful Abortion Clinic Protests:

Freedom of speech and expression continue to be threatened in Canada as a number of provinces are working to establish “buffer zones” around abortion clinics and hospitals. Such zones would prohibit pro-life individuals from protesting peacefully or praying in the areas around abortion providers.

Ontario Attorney General Yasir Naqvi announced his plans to introduce legislation this fall creating “safe access zones" outside any facility that does abortions, including public hospitals.

Please pray that Yasir Naqvi would have a change of heart about his plans and that countless individuals would rise up and stand up both for free speech and the preborn in opposing this legislation. Please pray that the Ontario "bubble law" would fail and be a hindrance to anyone bringing similar legislation in other provinces/states.

persecutedchurch copy

New Report // Persecuted Church:

A new report has identified Christians as the most widely targeted religious community in the world and estimates that 7,100 Christians died for their faith in 2015. Christians were shown to be the victims of 80 percent of all acts of religious discrimination in the world.

Please take a moment to read a summary of the report found in the Washington Examiner.

Please join us in praying for the persecuted Church around the world; Pray for the safety and protection of those who are facing persecution and that they would experience the peace and presence of Holy Spirit in incredible ways. Let's pray that those living in safe countries would speak up in their defence and that world leaders would come together to find ways to defend religious freedom and protect those who are most in danger of persecution.

We are now including a Persecuted Church prayer wall through the Justice Wall. Please click here to sign up for your prayer slot now.

safe haven

Canada Safe Haven

"Safe haven laws" in various parts of the U.S. have led to about 2,000 babies being saved from abandonment in instances where a mother gives birth to an unwanted child. The safe haven laws permit the mother to leave her child in a safe location with no questions asked. There are no such laws in Canada. However, a recent report has helped to shed light on this issue and lack of protection and advocates have committed to fighting for such a program in the nation.

Please pray that the media would report truthfully and openly about the lack of laws surrounding abortion, adoption and the protection of babies. Let's pray that unwanted children in Canada would be protected from abandonment through such programs and that similar protections would be instituted in countries around the world.

The sculpture for the National Monument for the Unborn is ready and we are planning to unveil it soon. For this to happen, the remaining funds need to come in ASAP.

Just under $8,000 is still needed to pay for the sculpture. For an update on where fundraising is at exactly please click here.

Please agree with us in prayer that the remaining funds would come in quickly and that all plans would come together with ease.

Thank you so much for partnering with us.

Let us continue to pray and believe that we can and will see significant progress towards the abolishment of abortion, human trafficking and Christian persecution as the Church continues to pray.

May God bless you richly!
