Google Bootcamp-
Are you interested in taking your Google Apps for Education skills to the next level? If so, the Google Educator Level 1 Certification is perfect for you! This workshop is beginner focused and will prep you for taking the exam. Workshops will be offered on the following dates:
9 a.m. - 3 p.m. EST
December 2, 2016--GOISD
December 16, 2016--CCISD

Classroom Makers-
The maker movement is a broad term that integrates "play" with learning as students design, create, innovate, and "tinker" with tools. This workshop will prepare teachers to utilize the maker space kit that will help foster student engagement, creativity, collaboration, innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This workshop will be held on the following dates:
9 a.m. - 3 p.m. EST
December 8, 2016--GOISD
December 20, 2016--CCISD

This month we are introducing a new staff member, Jamie Johnson, who is our Secretary and Meeting Coordinator. Jamie just recently moved to the Hancock area from Illinois. She graduated in 2004 from Kishwaukee College with her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and went back to pursue a degree in Office Systems which she graduated with in 2006. Prior to working at REMC, Jamie worked for a private rubber and plastics distributor in Rockford, IL as the Administrative Assistant for nine years. Welcome Jamie!
