We hereby invite you to New Year's Eve at M. Wells on Crescent Street in Long Island City, December 31st 2018. Always classy, delicious and a bit raucous, this year's feast promises a fun-filled dinner with food sculptures and oversized vessels teeming with gifts from the kitchen floating along winding tables. The menu showcases the top of the crop, the very best that our awesome farmers and purveyors have to offer.

The lavishness includes: Peconic Bay scallops, foie gras-stuffed quail, pheasant lasagna, escargots mole, coulibiac of char, warm duck fat hummus, snail caviar, incredible salads, matsutake and platters of whole animals and large roasts, porcelet, sides of dry aged grass-fed steaks and lamb from the spit spinning over the wood fire grill. Plus punch bowls filled with dessert.

The bar menu will have a variety of new quaffable drinks and all the fine bubbles you dear friends can handle. The 1er cru Champagne from George Laval Champagne is one of our favorites. Plus you'll get to behold the Ostrich Room, a stunning space we have been creating for the better part of this year.

Moon Diagrams otherwise known as Moses John Archuleta will pull from his massive library of sounds and beats so we can move and groove before and after the ball drops. We love us a DJ with a Wikipedia page. Our growing collection of wigs will be on hand.

Either way, as the year draws to a close, we hope you find the time and the right cohorts with whom to rejoice in life's simpler pleasures: good food and helpful drinks. Consider M. Wells as the backdrop. We are open December 19-23 and December 26-31.

Cassoulet is here to warm up cold nights and the beef tongue stroganoff, a new addition, folks will find delightful. For the holidays, we especially enjoy making stuffed Christmas goose which we will have beginning Friday night and some of that 40-day aged grass-fed beef from Thistle Creek Farm in PA will make appearances.
