those who have a strong sense of love and belonging have the courage to be imperfect

Hi there, my friend,

Before Covid, I used to go to quite a few networking events – graying men in blue suits drinking cheap red wine from plastic tumblers standing around in a group laughing about something. All the big businesses and all the important people with all the fancy titles. Eventually one of them notices the blond woman in the sweater looking at the wine in her plastic glass and wishing she hadn’t come. It goes like this:

“So, what do you do?” he asks.

“I own a yarn store," I tell him, "Crazy for Ewe, in downtown Leonardtown.”

If this were a cartoon strip, you would see the thought bubble above his head fill with images of little old ladies making unfortunate sweaters with too-long arms. The thought bubble isn’t actually there, but his weak smile and quick glance over mycontinue

What's inside the newsletter

The newsletter is now coming from welcome@crazyforewe.com When I started the newsletter 10 years ago (!?) I was too naive to know that some email handlers would tag my email as promotions or worse, spam and that my personal email would get caught in their net. You can still reach me at ellen@crazyforewe.com, it's just the sending email on the newsletter that has changed.

Please add welcome@crazyforewe.com to your contacts, whitelist it, or whatever your email provider needs to so I don't get caught in those scary folders with emails from foreign princes who want to give you money. If you don't want to get the email anymore, just click unsubscribe, and you'll be removed. If you change your mind, just email me - you are always welcome here.

Join me every Wednesday evening for an hour of fun knitting talk. Topics include cool patterns, new yarns, and fun knitting tools and goodies. At least once a month I'll bring on a special guest from the knitting world to hear his or her fiber story. If there's something you want to hear or know about, let me know.

Now on YouTube too

I've heard from lots of you who don't do Facebook, so Ill be streaming live to both my Facebook page and YouTube, I'll have links in the newsletter here, but be sure to visit the Crazy for Ewe YouTube Channel and subscribe so you'll know when it's coming. If you would like a little reminder, click the bell icon, and you'll get a tiny screen notification just before the show.
