Our Organ is Repaired!

Thank you to everyone who donated towards the repair of our organ!

Repairs are complete and we have a functioning organ again. Please say a prayer though for our organist Al, he's recovering from an injury.

Ash Wednesday Worship

This year's joint Ash Wednesday service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church (1410 Ponce de Leon Ave.) on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7p. Pastor Max will be preaching the sermon, Jerry will be playing the prelude and members of our choir will be part of the joint choir. Please join us for this meaningful worship service

Journeys With Jesus, A Study of the Gospel of Mark

The gospel of Mark describes discipleship as being willing to journey with Jesus. Join in this Adult GROW Group as we read through Mark’s account of what it means to follow Jesus.
We will meet in the Library on Sunday mornings @ 9:45 beginning January 7. This study will be led by Pastor Max.

Aging Well Meeting

Due to expressed interest after the January program on homelessness in Atlanta, the next Aging Well program will focus on two intown agencies offering services and support to Atlanta’s homeless and hungry.

Free Exhibition at Emory's Theology Library

Curious about John Wesley and the history of the Methodist Church?

Then come see the free exhibition at Emory University’s Pitts Theology Library Religion of the Heart: John Wesley and the Legacy of Methodism in America. The exhibition runs through March 9 and all are invited to view the exhibition anytime the library is open (click here to see the library's hours). Docent led tours are available as well, please contact the church office if you are interested in a tour.

Ecumenical Prayer Cycle

As a way to remember our connection with Christians around the globe, we will start using a great prayer tool: the Ecumenical Prayer Cycle. Each week of the year a number of countries are highlighted to lift up in prayer. There are also prayers written by Christians in those countries that you can use. By following the cycle throughout the year, you would pray your way around the globe. We will start listing the different countries each week in our prayer list.

For the week of February 4 pray for: Andorra, Italy, Malta, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Vatican City
