Poetry & Jazz Tasting
C'est Le Vin, 15 N. 17th St. RVA 23219
Thursday March 5, 7pm
Wind down with us and a glass of good red (or white, if that’s more your speed!) at Shockoe hot spot C'est Le Vin. While trying out the amazing tapas and small plates, feast your ears on poetry & jazz! Local wordsmiths of all experience levels will give you a “taste” of what they do, and Randy Burton and Bob Lambert of Super64 (and songstress Wendy Carter) will show off their stuff. Have a few verses to throw down yourself? Make sure to get on the list! Look for me early in the evening or email ahead of time.

NEW Location! Freewrite Tuesdays @ Greenbriar
Greenbriar Café & Coffeehouse
1211 W. Main St. RVA 23220
Tuesdays, 10:30-11:30am
Who says poetry has to be done in a shuttered attic or at a lonely desk? Come battle your writer’s block with us! We’re bummed about the closing of our home base Globehopper at the end of February, but are happy to journey onward in a brand new spot! This group will continue to be an informal meeting to freewrite and converse-- we believe writing doesn't have to be a solitary sport, and that you never know what inspiration might walk through the door. Although we're open to specialized topics and sharing, there is no formal critique or workshop agenda— simply show up & come and go as you please!
