Ebook or Paperback - TRILLIUM by MLHolton

TRILLIUM - ebook or paperback

Woohoo! - THRILLED to announce that my third novel, TRILLIUM has been short-listed for the 26th Annual Hamilton Literary Awards!

(It would be amazing to win again, 20 years of 'The Gilded Beaver by Anonymous' won in 1999!)

After a year of super reviews and interviews from as far afield as Scotland, Germany, California and - closer to home - Hamilton and Guelph Ontario, critics and readers agree - TRILLIUM is -

"Original & Unique!"..." Hard to put down!"..."Masterfully told!"

Set on the Niagara peninsula over 250 years, TRILLIUM starts in mid 1750s, when three very diverse families - the Hartfords, O'Sullivans and the Di Angelos - blend together in their varied pursuits of land, lust and loot ... "like good wine!"

Plus, effective January 2020, TRILLIUM has been selected as a new featured title for The Hamilton Spectator Store (particularly of note to subscribers of the weekend edition of The New York Times.)

Watch for the full page ads in the weekend edition - or get an ebook or paperback edition of TRILLIUM - >>NOW<< - just in time for Christmas!

TRILLIUM really is a wonderful literary gift for those who enjoy local historical fiction and rollicking ‘canadiana’ ...

'Magic Hour, Georgian Bay' by MLHolton (2010)

In other news, I recently donated my 2010 painting, ‘Magic Hour, Georgian Bay’, to the Georgian Bay Land Trust Annual Fundraiser, Bayscapes, for Nov. 22nd.

All proceeds go towards the continued stewardship of the fragile wilderness eco-system of the Georgian Bay area.

Bidding on 'Magic Hour’ starts at $1200 - (a real steal at half the list price!)

Get your tickets now for this wonderful, well-attended art event in Toronto.

AND, I hope to soon partner with Director Alison Brindle to produce a 10-minute abridged play of TRILLIUM for the HamiliTEN Theater Festival in early April, 2020. (Condensing a story that spans 250 years down to 10 minutes is proving a creative writing challenge!)

Finally, Remembrance Day is a sad time of year to think of those brave souls who perished to protect and bolster our hard-won democratic freedoms. My 2016 WW1 #cdnfilm, THE FROZEN GOOSE, tackles the emotional aftermath of war on a struggling rural Canadian family. Watch the free trailer, then, please rent, buy & share it!

Here’s to a joyous, festive Winter Season with dear family and friends.

And, as always, THANK YOU for your continued Good Faith & Support!

Margaret Lindsay Holton

Award-winning Golden Horseshoe Artist and Author of TRILLIUM.
