Hello dear IQCAfrica supporter

All the stands for IQCAfrica 2014 are now sold and we are looking forward to an absolutely brilliant show! With the exhibitions and vendors all being in the same hall, you can admire and shop to your heart's content this year.

So what exactly will there be for you to do and see at this year's show?

DISTORTIONHYE-SOOK Dramatization of Memory

"Dramatization of Memory" by Kim HYE SOOK - Distortion

As you all know there will be many vendors at the show this year selling all their latest lovely products. (More about them next week.)

There will ALSO be EIGHT EXHIBITIONS on show for you to admire and be inspired by:
"Transition" - the official IQCAfrica 2014 quilt challenge.
"Major Minors" - small but exquisite fibre artworks.
"Fibreworks 2014" - the Fibreworks group's annual exhibition.
"Distortion" - the 2013 Eurpean Patchwork Meeting international challenge exhibition.
"Conscience of the Human Spirit: The Life of Nelson Mandela" - a USA/SA collaboration exhibition.
"A Patch in the Sky" - a special collection of traditional quilts from the Eastern Cape.
"The Teachers Collection" - each of our eight talented teachers will be contributing two of their best works for this collection.
"Sculptural Fibre Art" - something new and unique for this year's show - a dedicated challenge issued to SA artists to produce a 3D work comprised mainly of fibre/textiles.

Then you can attend our very popular FREE hourly lectures by influential international and local speakers interspersed with some enlightening product demonstrations.

And let us not forget our Make n Take mini workshops! Sit down for 60 minutes and learn a new skill as you make something pretty.

But wait, there's more ...
Many vendors will be running regular product demos in their booths showcasing their latest greatest products. You can test drive a quilting frame, put computerised sewing machines to the test and pick up some handy tips.

More info next week - take care!
