We enjoyed our long Christmas break with our families but we are also glad to be back together today! We have resumed our normal schedule and are jumping right back into our routine. Today began with un-decorating inside and outside the church, packing away all the Christmas decorations once again. Stop by and see us anytime!

Ongoing Outreach/Mission Opportunity

Coat & Clothing & More Drive
Keep saving all your clothing and outerwear items for our fall giveaway. Tell your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers that we will accept donations all year! Clothes for all ages and sizes needed, along with coats, bags, purses, shoes, housewares, books, toys...whatever you think might help someone in need. Drop items off in the collection barrel or take them up to the Green Room. January is a perfect time to do some closet and drawer organizing!

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.

Matthew 25: 35-36, 40

What can YOU do?

If you know of any interesting news or events,
please let us know, so that we can pass it on to others!

Memories of Christmas Past: By the Fireside

There are still a few days left to see the Arms Family Museum sparkling for the holiday season! Memories of Christmas Past, the annual holiday spectacular, is in its 12th year in the 1905 Arts & Crafts mansion of Olive and Wilford Arms. The theme is “By the Fireside”. Inspired by the museum’s mix of fireplaces from the Arts and Crafts Design Movement and later architectural styles, the fireside theme represents the heart of the home and an icon of holiday celebrations. The exhibit is open thru January 5, 2020. Hours for the museum are Tuesday-Sunday, 12:00pm-4:00pm; and Thursday 12:00pm-7:00pm. Admission costs for this season will be $10 for Adults, $9 for Seniors (60+) and College Students (with I.D. card), and $8 for Children (3-18). Admission is free for Toddlers (under 3), MVHS Members, and Active Military and Military Veterans (with I.D. card). The admission fee covers visits to both the Arms Family Museum and the Tyler History Center for that particular day.
