Matthew 4:1-11 (Click Here to Read)

Temptation

This week's gospel tells of Jesus’ temptation in the desert. His forty-day fast becomes the basis of our Lenten pilgrimage. In the early church Lent was a time of intense preparation for those to be baptized at the Easter Vigil. This catechetical focus on the meaning of faith is at the heart of our Lenten journey to the baptismal waters of Easter. Hungry for God’s mercy, we receive the bread of life to nourish us for the days ahead.

Registration is open. For all information regarding this event and to register: https://bit.ly/SCSWLEAD2017

Workshops are offered just once, so you’ll need the tools to figure out when the workshops you are interested in are offered. Use the tools available online to schedule your day.

Exciting Computer News!

We are converting our old "CMS People” software to a new system called "SimpleChurch CRM”. The new system has many new features that Amanda and I will be learning about and teaching to staff and volunteers over the next few weeks. We will be focusing on areas of Membership, Contributions and Attendance. One of the most interesting features of the new system is that it is cloud based and will be accessed via wifi from two new laptop computers for Volunteers. During this process, we ask for your continuing support and patience. More news to come…… Dale Dull
