"I pray your day is a sunshiny one wherever you are. Is anyone else feeling the warp speed of the month flying by? I love the Fall season and colors, just wish it would slow down a bit so we can enjoy a little longer. I love all the things that go with this season like pumpkins, bonfires, colored leaves, and cool crisp mornings. All the things that make up Fall." "That brings me to our WORD for the week, “layers.” All the above make up the “layers” of Fall. We too have “layers” inside that make us who we are. Every hurt, smile, tear, difficult situation, joy unexplainable, prayer, and more. The “layers” of hurt or sadness may make us feel empty. The “layers” of happiness fill us up. God is in our “layers” and He holds us together when others may fail us. “God’s power fills in the gap of our weakness”…Lysa Terkeurst. Some days we may feel like our gap is huge, but we have that assurance – He is in the gap and “layers” us with His love. The Holy Spirit is our comfort in those times of grief when our “layers” seem to be separated. We are strong through Him in our weakness. Our “layers” are being reinforced by God’s power and love. Nothing can separate us from His love. Sometimes we need to peel back our “layers” of tears so He can mend us with His tender loving care. Oh, how He loves us! Each day brings us new “layers” of life – cherish each one! God is with us in our “layers” of life. Have a fantastic, blessed week!" I ask the Father in his great glory to give you the power to be strong inwardly through his Spirit. I pray that Christ will live in your hearts by faith and that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love - how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is. Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. It is so nice to be back out in the community more this year, seeing old GG friends and meeting new ones! Thanks to all who shopped with us. Hope to see you on Saturday at Harbel's, with our new hours. Vendors will be there from 12-4pm Saturday. The market is open Friday & Saturday from 12-8pm and Sunday from 12-6pm. Next Sunday, October 2nd, there will be hayrides to the pick your own pumpkin patch leaving from Harbel’s Barn. Tour the scenic, historical, and undeveloped farmland at Firestone Farms atop a rustic hayride. The last stop is at Harvey’s Garden where you can experience the joy of picking your own pumpkin. Harvey’s Garden is a hidden gem. It boasts some of the most beautiful sights in the entire county. Rarely open to the public - this is an event you won’t want to miss! October 2nd hayride times: 1:30, 3:00, 4:30, 6:00. Please stop by Harbel’s this weekend to register for a spot in advance! Here at GG this week we have been up in the warehouse, sorting for the quickly approaching Giveaway as well spending plenty of time outside weeding. Fall is the perfect time to work outside...come join us for some weeding anytime! | This week's CSA, the last one for our Bi-Weekly subscribers, is full of goodness. Our crew spent time this week making fresh zucchini bread, homemade caramel corn, and more jam. We are eager to hear what our subscribers think about our extra-fun share this week! We even have a bit of extra produce left this week. It will be sitting on the counter at the front desk, if you would like to take some home to enjoy. | Goodness Grows Fundraisers All proceeds stay right here in our program, helping to pay our clients for their hard work!
