Dear Friends,
Many of you will be aware that a few days ago we launched a strategic postcard campaign to fight assisted suicide. As Canadians, we have a limited amount of time to make our voices heard to Parliament on this crucial issue.
We have been blown away by the number of requests we have received from Canadians asking us to send postcards on their behalf.
Currently we have almost 60,000 postcards that are waiting to be sent and this number is growing by the hour as more people e-mail requesting to participate. Our contacts at Parliament have verified that this will have a strong impact. Almost 10,000 are scheduled to be mailed on Monday.
THIS IS OUR GOOD PROBLEM:
Because of the tremendous response our budget for this campaign has almost quadrupled and is now estimated at $9,240 (up from $2,500 a few days ago). This is going up by the hour as more request for participation come in.
The estimated cost per participant request is $20. This is Because we are sending multiple postcard versions to multiple Members of Parliament on behalf of each Canadian wanting to participate.
We would like to be able to send every postcard that is being requested however we are only going to be able to do it with your help.
We need to raise at least $6740+ as soon as possible to fulfill all the requests coming in. Will you help?
Every little bit will make a difference.
