Thank you to all who joined us last month as we officially opened the doors of the Leftwich Tennis Center. Over 1,000 of you came out on the beautiful fall day to experience the joy of tennis. Many thanks to USTA Tennessee, Memphis Parks, the University of Memphis and our countless valued volunteers for helping our team make an event of that magnitude possible.

As you wrap up your USTA season we have a few helpful tips to get the MOST out of your upcoming off season!

* Now is the time to work on something you noticed you struggled with during the past season. Schedule time for private sessions with a teaching pro to make helpful adjustments to your technique or strategy. These changes are best made during the off season when you do not have the pressure of weekly matches and competition.

* Try out different adult clinics to meet new players and hit against different types of opponents.

* Use this season to routinely schedule different types of practice matches. One against a weaker level opponent where you can work on things outside of your comfort zone, one against an equal level opponent and one against an opponent who is stronger than you and will challenge you. This combo of practice match levels will help make sure you are ready for the spring season!
