Our winter has been filled with packing art packs, visiting shelters, and connecting with a lot of great people! Here are some of the highlights. We:
Partnered with YENS,The Studios at Porter Mill and Wicked Art Bar for a paint night and Holiday Fundraiser.
Made a return visit to the kids of the Peabody Library Y.A.K group to fill art packs for shelters that are part of Citizens for Adequate Housing in Peabody.
Received a HUGE donation from Julia Michaud, whose story is on our HFC Change Makers page, over 1,000 art supplies!
Met a new friend, Teagen Davenport, whose story is also on our new HFC Change Makers page. She just turned 7 and made helping Hope For Creativity a part of her birthday celebration!
Last week, we partnered with Emerson College's Alternative Spring Break program to bead safety pins and to fill 60 artpacks that we delivered to Boston ABCD and two shelters that are a part of the Dimock Center in Roxbury.
We were also contacted by the Kabel Family. Sarah, a fifth grader at Swampscott Middle School wanted to get involved in community service and now her brother Noah is helping too! They are having an art supply drive in Swampscott from now until March 21st, are gathering people for our next family packing day and beading safety pins for our new line of bracelets! They have drop off boxes at Stanley School, Hadley School and the Middle School. We recently visited the fourth grade leaders at Stanley and they are exited to help! If you want to make a donation to the Kabel's drive, contact us!
