Prayer 13

We continue to raise our voices in PRAYER and SUPPLICATION to our heavenly Father as his wrath is revealed all over the world, first in the COVID-19 pandemic, now in war in Eastern Europe.

Please PRAY for all health workers and first responders who minister to the sick with COVID-19 and the wounded in Ukraine:

ALMIGHTY God, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ went about doing good, and healing all manner of sickness and disease among the people: Continue in our hospitals his gracious work among us especially in this time of plague and pandemic; console and heal the sick; grant to the physicians, nurses, and assisting staff wisdom and skill, diligence and patience; prosper their work, O Lord, and send down your blessing upon all who serve the suffering; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Amen.

   •    Please PRAY for two couples who have attended regularly. They both contracted the latest variant of COVID-19 in the same week. The wife of one is in the early months of pregnancy the other celebrate a wedding anniversary while quarantined. They are recovering slowly.

   •    Give THANKS for our Life Groups in their respective study of Michael Roger’s What Happens after I Die? (Men) and Richard Bewes’ The Lamb Wins (Ladies) It has led to numerous discussions of our integrity of life as believers and our challenges in mission today.

   •    Please PRAY for God’s guidance as our Vestry continues to plan its mission in light of our Rector’s retirement at the end of 2023. The Bishop’s draft proposal was accepted by our Warden and Rector who await a date for a meeting with the agreed parties chaired by the Bishop.
