Wisconsin MTB Coach Supporters

Did you know, here in Wisconsin, we have 5 Coach Supporters?
Angela Brooks, Dave Bender, Josh Shively, Mike McGarry, and Sydney Shimko are spread around the state and are available to all coaches that need answers to coaching questions and/or help with coaching situations.

What is a Coach Supporter?

Coach Supporters are coaches that exemplify that NICA culture, desire to build Wisconsin MTB by helping new coaches develop their coaching skills. They are familiar with and understand coach licensing, the process of leveling-up and know much about all the programs NICA offers to student-athletes, including GRiT, Teen Trails Corp, and the Adventure Program. Coach Supporters have excellent bike skills and are trained to teach OTB 101 and 201 as well as being experts on the NICA coaching philosophy. Coach Supporters are part of the leadership team and support Wisconsin MTB by providing feedback and ideas about coaches, races, and everything NICA all year round.

How do they help you?

In 2020 we will be featuring each of our Coach Supporters in a newsletter so you know who they are, why they love being a Coach Supporter, and how they can help you as a coach, and help your team grow. You will see them at the races. You will see them on FB and in your emails. You will see them at Leaders Summit and at trainings and they want you to ask for assistance.
