Families with children are welcome! | Interested in Serving in Children's Ministry? Volunteers needed for Bible Breakout Tots from 9:30-10:20am & for Nursery from 11am-12:15pm. While all ages are more than welcome in Worship, we will continue to have nursery care available for our littlest ones (ages 0-2). Bible Breakout Tots ~ Volunteers must be able to commit to serving on a weekly basis from 9:30-10:20am, providing a brief Bible reading and a simple activity for the 0-5 year old age group for an entire quarter (3 months) at a time. Nursery ~ Volunteers must be able to commit to serving one Sunday per month from 11am-12:15pm, providing care and a safe and comfortable atmosphere to play while parents/guardians are in the worship service. Not sure you're ready to commit to a quarter or to one Sunday a month? Substitutes are also needed and deeply appreciated! Sign up to be available when a scheduled volunteer cannot serve - a great way to help and to see if you'd like to start serving regularly in the future! All volunteers and substitutes required to sign background check applicant release form and code of conduct. Pastor and Elders reserve the right to use discernment and remove responsibilities from volunteers when necessary for the spiritual and physical well-being of the children. | Wednesday Evening in the Warehouse...with Cookies! Wednesday, September 20, 6-8pm We have just about a month from this date to get set up for the Annual Giveaway! We would love to have your help sorting and organizing on Wednesday evening. You will even get a reward in the form of freshly made chocolate chip cookies that Goodness Grows will be baking that morning! What could be better than working together AND homemade cookies?!?! | Church "Housekeeping" Items Missing - One bowl used at the luncheon on Sunday for grapes and cantaloupe has been misplaced. It is glass with a silver bottom. If you find it accidentally among your things, please drop it off at the front desk and we will get it back to the owner. Thanks! Mystery Problem - Once again, stall doors in the downstairs men's restroom are being left locked and inaccessible, and this is definitely occurring on Sundays. We need everyone's help to stop this. Thanks, Jen, for bringing him in to see us. Definitely a highlight of the month!! Leetonia's first visit of the season was on Monday and we accomplished a lot! We transplanted celery, released a butterfly, and had a tour of the warehouse. Tuesday, with Crestview Middle, we picked tomatoes for salsa, weeded, and shelved books in the warehouse. Having all these interested and helpful hands is so encouraging and exciting! We love having our classroom friends here at GG! Wednesday was salsa making day. We spent most of the time processing tomatoes and other ingredients for fresh, homemade salsa for this week's CSA. It sure did smell good in the kitchen! Today is CSA day, so everyone has been busy harvesting. We have also restarted our twice a month visits to Fitness For All in Canfield, so half our crew will be heading there soon. Tomorrow brings Crestview High School. Weather permitting, we will be weeding as well as doing some tasks up at the warehouse. Hopefully the weather continues with these pleasant temps as we head in to the fall! If you are out and about on Saturday, stop out and see us in Canfield at the Fall Market on the Green. We'll be there from 9am-4pm with our jams and catnip toys and there will be tons of other local vendors.
