To read more, click here. | INDONESIA Ministry cracks down on ‘private’ universities The Indonesian government is continuing its crackdown on private higher institutions, including colleges and universities, that appear to have violated official standards or are involved in fraudulent activities. The teaching will be given by linguist Oksana Kononchuk, who fled from Kyiv to Amsterdam last year and is now a guest researcher affiliated with the Russian and Slavic Studies department at the UvA. Less than 40 per cent of young men have attained a university or college education. The figures specifically apply to young adults aged 25-30. To read more, click here. | USA Texas Governor signs anti-DEI bills Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed two bills into law on Wednesday 14 June that will alter major practices at Texas’ public colleges and universities, banning the use of diversity, equity and inclusion programs for employee hiring and codifying restrictions on tenure.
