Happy Weekend!!

We finally got a big snowfall here in Minnesota earlier this week. It had been a number of years since we had received that much snow at once, and it made for quite the event around here. While our kids didn't get a full snow day from school, they did have an early release and a late start. Extra time to get out and play in that snow!

We are in the final week leading up to the Super Bowl - and it's a BIG THING here in Minnesota! Super Bowl LIVE, a fun 10-day fan festival on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis, opened yesterday. Our family is headed there today - check out my Instagram story to see what it's all about!

A couple of My Favorite Things this week... Our 10 year-old daughter read this book (link HERE) with her class, then put it at the top of her Christmas list and read it again, and has now requested that we read it together at bedtime. So far, I'm really enjoying it! * And my sister Jessica turned me on to this chocolate granola with berries (link HERE). If you know me at all, you know that I much prefer homemade granola over purchased. But I LOVE this stuff, and have to keep buying more because our 15 year-old is crazy about it too!

Thank you so much for joining me here each week, for reading the blog, and for following along on social media. I am so grateful for your company!

Have an awesome weekend!
-Brenda

If you’re looking for a fun and super flavorful dessert for Valentine’s Day, give these Fudgy Brownie Hearts with Fresh Raspberry Buttercream a try. Our kids absolutely love these brownies!!

Get the recipe here.

I’m not quite certain how these Bacon Bow Ties should be classified. Are they an appetizer? A cookie? Or maybe just some kind of delightful sin…which somehow feels appropriate, considering this recipe comes from our pastor’s wife. ;)

Get the recipe here.

Grilled Hawaiian Chicken Chili Kebabs include the perfect heat + sweet flavor combination. Fun for Game Day - everybody loves food on a stick!
