August 2018 Captain Update

The Cliffs

We are thrilled to announce that The Cliffs will be our Presenting Sponsor for the 2019 Relay! The Cliffs at Mountain Park will also host Transition #9 on the course, which will make leg 10 a little shorter. More exciting information about our partnership coming soon!

Brewery Spotlight

Birds Fly South makes craft beer with a throwback approach. Through a combination of time-tested brewing/blending methods and modern practices, they create beer that is complex, thought-provoking, and delicious.

Our Favorite: Blue Print IPA - Old school meets new school in this balanced, juicy double dry-hopped IPA. Brewed with guava puree for full flavor and complexity with Mosaic, Centennial, and Citra hops. This balanced pint has a fresh taste and a classic, slightly bitter finish.

Social Media Contest!

We love social media! From August 15 through August 31 we will be having an Instagram photo contest. Just share a photo on Instagram of you running, traveling, enjoying a craft brew, or whatever you think is awesome. Make sure to tag @villetovillerelay and use the #willrunforcraftbrew hashtag!

At the end of the month, we will pick our top three posts, and they each will win a Will Run for Craft Brew t-shirt, V2V sticker, and hat!

Travel Info

April is a busy time of year in the Carolinas, so we advise booking your hotel rooms as soon as possible. To be near the start and finish lines, you may want to book a room in Asheville on Friday and Greenville on Saturday. Another option is to plan your whole stay in downtown Greenville. A third option is to stay near Hendersonville, a central location to both Asheville and Greenville. All teams will start between 5-10 am EST. Visit our travel page for more information.
