August Sermon Series at IPUMC Disciples Make Disciples “19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age.” Matthew 28:19-20 The purpose of our congregation is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Discipleship is an ongoing process of being shaped and mentored in our faith, while inviting others to be shaped and mentored by this faith. We believe disciples are formed through a process of CONNECTING with God and one another, GROWING in our knowledge and love of God and each other, and SERVING God and our neighbor. Throughout the month of August we will explore the disciple making process that is the core of who we believe God is calling us to be at Inman Park Church. The translation of the Bible into English was part of a social, political and religious revolution. The Bible helped shape and form the English language. Join us for a new Adult Grow Study on Sunday mornings as pastor Max leads us through this story. We gather around 9:45 in the library.
