For Netzach shebe Malchus Malchus Part 4 - Rabanit Kineret Sarah Cohen

Our facilitator this week is Rabanit Kineret Sarah Cohen

Rebbetzin Kineret Sarah Cohen was born in Eretz Yisrael and comes from Sefardik descent (Moroccan). She grew up in New York in the Ashkenazic circles and developed a deep rooted connection to the teachings of Chasidut and Musar. Because of this diverse upbringing, she is able to connect, teach and understand women who come from any background or religious affiliation. Rebbetzin Kineret Sarah Cohen is most famously known in the Jewish music world as the number one orthodox female Jewish performer. She uses her “voice” to create joy in a woman’s heart through her singing and utilizes her power of speech to lecture and spread Torah to all women around the world instilling in the hearts of Jewish women a love for Torah and Hashem. The Rebbetzin heads a non-profit Torah center for women and girls in Brooklyn, New York (Ohel Sara) and is one of the top lecturers on Torah Anytime. She has received many berachot from renowned Rabbis, among them, Rabbi David Abuchatzera (shlit”a), Rabbi David Chananyah Pinto (shlit”a), Rav Ovadyah Yosef (a”h), Rav Moshe Ben-Moshe (shlit”a) and Rav Moshe Chai Siman Tov (a”h). We are just a few days ahead of the holiday of Shavuos. And it is time to start planning ahead for the upcoming day.

It is very important on Shavuos to connect to the power of the Torah

And the best way to do that is to find a piece of Torah that you love and learn it on Shavuos

Plan ahead and figure out what is that piece of Torah to learn. Whether it be chumash, mussar, chassidus etc. whatever helps you connect to Hashem, make a plan to learn it on Shavuos Day.

When you have this learning seder, feel the beauty, the power and wondrous nature of the Torah. Then you will be able to yearn for the connection. This is another way to become unified with G-d.

Having this seder is very powerful, even if it is for a short amount of time

Take your favorite part of Torah and learn it deeply, savor it and enjoy it!

Excerpt from Sparks from Berditchov - an Inspirational Guide to Avodas Hashem by Yaakov Klein

Givijng Back to the Master of the World: Life is the greatest gift extended to mankind, providing us with the ability to grow, to spread light to the world through the Torah and mitzvos and thereby grow close to the Source of all goodness. The way to display gratitude for the life-force our Father in heaven constantly bestows upon us is by giving back that life-force, by consecrating our creative powers and channeling every ounce of our personalities, emotions, and talents toward the One, toward the only One...*

A practical verbal introspection to help us focus when working on the midda of the day

Thank you Hashem for my life that is my unique opportunity to direct the life force within me that might naturally further conceal You.. Please help me purify my heart and feel Your love and bring Your Kingship into this moment. I want to purify my heart with the feeling of Your love and kingship so that I sincerely have heartfelt emotions only to fulfill the Torah, emulate You and reveal Your love and kingship through my speech and deeds.

May these deep emotions be honestly reflected in my speech and deeds so that Torah and the force of Your Lovingkindess are seen and felt in the world. May it be a merit for Klal Yisrael and an acceptable teshuva that fixes what needs to be fixed and that generates eternal life and makes a kiddush Hashem.
