We continue to raise our voices in PRAYER and SUPPLICATION to our heavenly Father as his wrath is revealed all over the world in this COVID-19 plague, now as COVID-19 Omicron:

O ALMIGHTY God, who in your wrath sent a plague upon your own people in the wilderness, for their obstinate rebellion against Moses and Aaron; and in the time of king David, sent a plague of pestilence that killed seventy thousand, but remembering your mercy spared the rest: Have pity upon us miserable sinners who now are visited with great sickness and mortality; and in the same way that you then accepted an atonement and commanded the destroying Angel to cease from punishing, so may it now please you to withdraw from us this plague and grievous sickness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAY for all health workers and first responders who minister to the sick with COVID-19:

ALMIGHTY God, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ went about doing good, and healing all manner of sickness and disease among the people: Continue in our hospitals his gracious work among us especially in this time of plague and pandemic; console and heal the sick; grant to the physicians, nurses, and assisting staff wisdom and skill, diligence and patience; prosper their work, O Lord, and send down your blessing upon all who serve the suffering; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer 8

   •    Give THANKS for young W who successfully completed his basic training in the USN. PRAY for him as he continues in school, that he may find a biblically faithful and reformed church nearby that he can attend when able.

   •    PRAY for the men’s group as they continue their study on first Mondays of Michael Roger’s What Happens After I Die? And while the ladies continue in Rod Dreher’s book, Live Not By Lies.

   •    By the time you receive our prayer letter, our Annual Parish Meeting is just completed but not when I write this. PRAY for a commitment to regular attendance, at a minimum of 50%, as attendance has gone down after we returned to in-person worship. Give THANKS that our internal giving has held up this year despite the departure of a church family. Please PRAY that God will use my report of the parish to encourage hearts. Give THANKS that our sermon podcasts are now at 40.4K downloads since we held our first public worship.
