Marker Recycling!

The PTA’s Go Green committee is again collecting old markers to be recycled! There’s a box in the office where students can add their contributions of markers that are out of ink or are no longer needed.

(Crayola’s program is currently on hold because of the pandemic, but we will hold on to them until the program returns!)

Marathon Kids

Want to participate with Marathon Kids at home????

Some of our classes at Mills are participating in Marathon Kids. Students will be earning miles for minutes of heart-pumping movement and laps completed.

If you would like to participate at home with your child, send me an email (anita.norris@austinisd.org) with the following information:

▪ Your child’s first and last name
▪ Your child’s teacher’s name
▪ Your child’s grade level
Your child’s first and last name
Your child’s teacher’s name
Your child’s grade level

After you send me that information, you will be receiving an email from noreply@marathonkids.org to create your parent Marathon Kids account.

You will be able to submit miles completed at home.

Be sure to check your junk folder if you can’t find it.

Once you receive your email from MarathonKids, here are three helpful resources to help you create your account and know how to submit miles completed at home.

Counselor's Corner

Hello Mills families,

We wanted all of our Mills families to be aware of a series our Trust-Based Relational Intervention and Brain Development Coordinator has created in partnership with the Austin ISD Department of Counseling.

We know and understand that we have all (the grownups AND the kids) have been enduring an ongoing pandemic for over a year and a half. This series will provide trauma-informed practices along with ways to support your child at home. See the flyer for registration information.

Thank you!
