RIPTA IN THE COMMUNITY
STUFF A BUS A HUGE SUCCESS!
The final numbers are in, and we are thrilled to announce that this year, we raised a total of 2,280 pounds of food for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank! THANK YOU for making the 4th Annual Stuff A Bus a huge success! The Food Bank's statewide network of member agencies serves 60,000 Rhode Islanders each month. One in three served is a child under the age of 18. RIPTA would also like to thank our community partners – Whole Foods Garden City, Whole Foods University Heights, Shore’s Market, and iHeartRadio.
HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE
Now through December 18, 2015, RIPTA and 95.5 WBRU are seeking new, unwrapped toy donations for the West End Community Center so that every child enrolled in their programs receives something this holiday season. The West End Community Center serves the Providence, Rhode Island communities of the West End, Elmwood, and Upper and Lower Southside. Overall, these neighborhoods are the most ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse neighborhoods.
