Parliament has resumed today for winter session. This means that your Member of Parliament is back in the House of Commons and will soon be addressing a number of bills and motions we continue to track.

We also encourage you to begin corresponding with your MP regarding the issues that matter most to you.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER:

Volunteers really do make all the difference when it comes to election campaigns, and we are going to need hundreds of volunteers ready to ensure that the most godly candidates are elected in 2019.

There are also a number of socially-conservative MPs whose nominations are being challenged in the leading up to the 2019 elections. This means that these sitting MPs will have to win upcoming nominations in order to remain their party’s candidate for 2019.

Two such MPs include MP Brad Trost (Saskatoon), and MP Cheryl Gallant (Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke).

If you are a constituent of one of these or other Christian candidates, please:

a) Be in touch with their office to offer your support as a constituent and assistance as a volunteer, and
b) Help encourage friends and families in the riding to buy a party membership in order to be able to vote in the nominations. This will make a huge difference.

A TRAGIC CANADIAN ANNIVERSARY:

Yesterday, January 28th, was a tragic anniversary in Canadian history marking 30 years since the Supreme Court of Canada struck down the country’s abortion law as unconstitutional.

The 1988 ruling overturned the law that criminalized abortions. No legislation on abortion has successfully passed through parliament since, leaving a complete void and making Canada the only western society with no laws on abortion.

CANADIAN MEMORIAL FOR THE UNBORN:

Faytene also announced the good news - that the Memorial for the Unborn initial fundraising is now complete as of this past weekend! Thank you to everyone who donated, prayed, and shared about this powerful project.

We are asking for continued prayers as we confirm plans to establish and house the memorial.
