As July's summer days get longer and warmer, they provide us with the opportunity for renewal, both interior and exterior. One way, to renew your self interiorly, is to look at this month's dedication. July is dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. It is an opportunity look at all God gave us through Jesus' sacrifice and the renewal we receive in the sacrament of the Eucharist, in His body and blood, at Mass. Read our "Liturgical Living" section below to plan how you will incorporate the dedication this month and the feast days at home.
Our Pilgrimage to The Sorrowful Mother Shrine, in Bellevue Ohio, is also a wonderful opportunity to renew your spirit. The Shrine is an inspiring place of prayer where God and nature touch. Wild flowers and planted flower beds mingle in the 120 acres of woods and lawns. The center of the Shrine is the Sorrowful Mother Chapel. The Missionaries of the Precious Blood have operated the Shrine since its founding in 1850.
On July 24th plan to arrive at 10:30 am. We will attend Mass, which starts at 11:00 am, at the Sorrowful Mother Chapel. Mass will be followed by a, pack your own, picnic lunch in the covered pavilion. After, we can explore the outdoor Grottos.
