We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray this finds you well and your Thanksgiving was blessed. A lot of my family in TX was together this year so I know they were overjoyed. God is good! I am sure there was good food to be had at all your homes. We live in a land of abundance overflowing. I am thankful and grateful every day. We can always find something to give thanks for." "My WORD for this week is “RELEASE.” Question for us all – is there anything that is holding us back from everything God has for us? Is there something we need to “release” to move on to more? I have felt lately that something is holding me back for being all God wants me to be. I am still figuring out what to “release,” but I know there must be something. Sometimes we hold on to things, hurts, attitudes that interfere with all the beauty God has for us. I pray the Holy Spirit will reveal to each one of us what we need to “release” to become more. Sounds easy on paper but not so much in real time. It is like something familiar we don’t want to part with. I pray we will all “release” all the junk and make room for more love from our Savior. I long for us all to become the beauty God already sees. We “release” everything that shouldn’t be in our lives and become everything you want us to God." “But forget all that - it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." ~ Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT) | Our Daily Bread Booklets Available Jesus Light of the World, Our Daily Bread's Christmas reflections for 2022, now here.
