On Saturday, we'll be at the Canfield Senior Class Craft Show at the high school from 10am-4pm. Sunday will find us in Youngstown at the Holiday Flea from 9am-3pm. Kitty will be manning both shows and she would love to see you at one, or both! Jam and catnip toys make awesome gifts! (Additionally, the apple butter that's available here in the Great Room also makes a perfect gift! Stop in anytime to purchase.) In preparation for Harbel's reopening and our two Christmas shows, our crew has been in the jam mindset this week. On Tuesday they went shopping for supplies and on Wednesday and today they were up to their elbows in jam production! It really does take a lot to turn that bag of cranberries or last summer's blueberries into our delicious fruit treats! Of course, since they were already in the kitchen, they also took the time to do some baking. They made herb bread, chocolate chip cookies, and Communion bread today. and the Chamber of Commerce, and here at GG. JAM NEWS: Due to the ever-rising costs of supplies, we have had to raise our jam price by $1.
Jungle Jam and Juicy Jam will now be $7 per jar (or $6 if you return one of our empty jam jars).
We delayed the price increase as long as we could, but since jam is our biggest fund raiser, enabling us to pay our fabulous clients for their hard work, we had to make this hard decision.

Open mic community storytelling. Come to tell a story, come to listen to others tell stories. Live music by the Conkle Brothers. Hosted by Harbel's Market - across Rt. 14 from the Firestone Town Center, next to Ill Will.
Spoken Threads welcomes all stories, including those challenging traditional systems and structures. All storytellers are welcome regardless of religious tradition, race, class, gender, ethnicity, political leaning, or identity. Audience members are requested to commit to the discipline of respectful listening.
- Anyone is welcome to tell a story. Just sign up on the story tellers sheet if you want to share.
- Stories should be true, personal and told in the first person.
- Please keep all stories age appropriate to those in the audience.
- Please keep all stories to under about seven minutes.
- All storytellers deserve the gift of respectful listening | | Christmas at Boardman Park | Create a new family tradition by gathering your family and friends and coming out to Boardman Park's Community Christmas, to decorate your own family named tree, see Santa and enjoy Holiday music. Beginning at 4pm, bring some natural decorations and decorate one of the Park's pine trees. Some decorating examples would be: pine cones covered in peanut butter, birdseed, cereal/popcorn strings, bagels, orange slices, use your imagination and HAVE FUN with it! Please reserve your tree by calling the Park Office at 330-726-8105 or e-mailing Karen at karen@boardmanpark.com.
Santa will be arriving by fire truck at 4:15. Be sure to bring your camera and take a picture with Santa in the Gazebo. Then, head up to The St. James Meeting House and enjoy some cookies (provided by Boardman school's PTA) and hot chocolate (provided by the Friends of Boardman Park) while listening to Christmas music and caroling led by Linda Smrek and The Boardman High School Singers beginning at 4:00 pm.
